OUR mission
Stratmeyer Veterinary Services PLLC is a mobile veterinary clinic providing top-notch general medical care to the large animals in southern Illinois and western Kentucky. We also provide in-home euthanasia and help arrange cremation services for small animals. We believe all animals deserve access to the best veterinary care regardless of their size or your ability to transport them. We are committed to providing personalized care for each animal, whether it’s a pet or production animal. We value integrity, compassion, and community. It is our goal to make you and your furry companion feel like a part of our family rather than just another appointment.
our team
Our team currently consists of only Dr. Brett Stratmeyer. A southern Illinois native, she grew up outside of Brookport, Illinois. After graduating from Massac County High School in 2009, she completed her undergraduate studies at Murray State University and then graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Dr. Brett worked as a small animal veterinarian for several years while providing large animal care to friends and family on days off or after hours. She also worked as an online veterinary consultant for about a year after giving birth to her son. The knowledge, skills, and connections gained from each adventure further fueled her lifelong dream of eventually owning her own veterinary practice. Everything finally fell into place in 2022, when Stratmeyer Veterinary Services PLLC was officially launched.
Dr. Brett married her husband, Dustin, in 2014, and they have two children, Emery and Curtis. Dustin runs a family farm producing grain and livestock. They have a small herd of beef cattle, horses, dogs, and cats. In her spare time, Dr. Brett loves camping and trail riding in the Shawnee National Forest with her family. She also enjoys running, reading, and doing anything outdoors.
